About Us

Who We Are

From Bitter to Better, FB2B is a 501(c)(3) non-profit women’s organization, which, through the use of an annual conference, assists women in their quests to rid themselves of bitterness. To reach as many women as possible, the conference will rotate locations. The first conference was held on March 24-25, 2023, at Faith Temple Ministries Suffolk, VA with 59 women in attendance, and the second was held on March 23-23, 2024, at Calvary Community Church (C3), Hampton, VA with 82 women in attendance. Through workshops, panel discussions and guest speakers, women were SET FREE and generational curses were broken.

Through much prayer and preparation, the generous support of partners and donors and our own fundraising, our plan is to host a conference on March 20-21, 2026, under the theme “Fathering Daughters.” Registration opening soon!

MORE ABOUT FB2B 2026: FATHERING DAUGHTERS

Through prayer, research and lessons learned from the 2023 and 2024 conferences, the From Bitter to Better Board of Directors has determined that many of the problems women are experiencing result from fatherhood failures and that such failures must be addressed at a young age. Roland Warren, past president of the National Father Initiative said, “Kids have a hole in their soul in the shape of their dad.” Psychologist James Hollis said “A father’s absence may be literally through death, divorce or dysfunction, but more often it is symbolic absence through silence and the inability to transmit what he also may not have acquired. With this in mind, From Bitter to Better, FB2B adopted “Fathering Daughters” as its 2026 theme.

Scripture:  "Fathers, don’t frustrate your children with no-win scenarios. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master." Ephesians 6:4 (MSG)

The event will begin with a Friday evening Kick-Off Service, open to the public, to set the tone for the conference and get folks excited. It will include a short skit to “whet the appetite” of those who are considering attending. The Saturday conference is for fathers and their daughters ages 12+ and is planned to include a panel discussion with Williamsburg-based initiative Fatherhood Fire, a short play to demonstrate what happens when there is a schism between a father and his daughter(s) and the beauty in restoration for both, spoken word, food, giveaways, vendor opportunities, and more. REGISTER TODAY — You don't want to miss it!
